Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst
Yamilet Giron, BCaBA, is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst born and raised in South Florida. She has been practicing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for several years, beginning as a behavioral therapist and then a Registered Behavior Technician before attaining her BCaBA. Yamilet has worked directly with early childhood, school aged children, and adolescents. Prior to entering the ABA industry, she graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science at Texas A & M University. She began fulfilling her passion of helping the underserved communities through volunteering at the Special Olympics, Autism Speaks, and building recreational parks for families. She attended Diversity Counsel Seminars where students learned about cultural diversity in order to encourage cultural sensitivity and awareness to diverse populations. Yami continued her efforts to help others by volunteering in various local community service events which included baking cookies with child burn victims residing at the Ronald McDonald House and provided assistance for numerous Hurricane Ike victims such as cleaning up debris, painting homes, gardening, and planting trees. When she is not working in ABA, Yamilet enjoys sewing, drinking tea, spending time with loved ones, and binge-watching Netflix.
